Mitchell Tap will complete his Master of Engineering (Electrical) degree at The University of Queensland in July 2017. He will also graduate from the Technical University of Munich with a Master of Science (Electrical Engineering) in September 2017 after spending three semesters studying in Germany. Mitchell worked as a vacation student for Ergon Energy in 2015 on projects relating to home energy management systems and residential energy storage units. He also completed a three month placement program at Ergon Energy in 2017 where undertook his Master’s thesis titled “A General Methodology for Network Integration of Alternatively Fuelled Transit Buses in Regional Cities, and Cairns Case Study.” Mitchell’s research interests include renewable energy network integration and residential energy storage systems.
