Dr Andrew Mears is an engineer and innovator with more than 20 years of experience in the areas of renewable energy and commercialisation covering Asia & Pacific, Africa and Australia. This includes project engineering and product development, strategy consulting, and investment program management. He has delivered more than 40 major assignments in 18 countries.
Dr Mears was a Chief Technical Advisor for Renewable Energy and Climate Change for United Nations in Southern Africa and SE Asia. He was awarded Newcastle University’s Alumni Award for International Leadership in 2011. In 2014 he founded SwitchDin to develop scalable virtual power management solutions for distributed energy resources.
